you just have to be disciplined and get down to it. Set your self goals to work towards each day and give yourself a treat at the end of the day - even if its small like some sweets. i set myself goals like that at work - like if ive done somehting i didnt really want to do by a certain time, i can have a can of coke or a biscuit. its silly i know but you just have to be strong and remember that its not forever and that if you put in the effort now, you will hopefully reap the rewards later!

good luck!!

When I have had course work to do in the past (and I was then a mature student) - so demands on me were heavy with family etc- as you can imagine. What I decided to do was - get a grip of the situation. You see, I bet you spend more hours worrying about what you have not yet done on your studies - thereby it is actually taking more of your (head time - if you know what I mean) - than it is actually supposed to do. You know that little reminder that will not leave your mind alone. So what I suggest is - you unlock it use it and its done.

Set yourself an hour every evening through the week, in your own space - making sure that you have informed all that need to know that you are not to be disturbed, so that you can get through your studies. Preferably leaving a window open - to keep your head clear. You will need work space - and all that you need to work with at hand (no excuses). Sit down and get on with it. Hopefully that hour will be lucrative and your studies will come together - obviously if more time is needed add half an hour on to my allotted time. Saturdays - remain free and Sundays if you should require more time then decide yourself am/pm and stick to it.

Your reward - I am sure you are not denying yourself anything already - so the best reward I am giving is "nothing is going to be nagging you" thereby your work is done - please give it a go.

I will let you into a secret "people (some) think education is expensive - well ignorance is far more expensive, believe me. So your goals of career etc., will pay off eventually if you knuckle down now and good luck to you is my closing statement.

You are halfway there by knowing you have a problem, that shows maturity. Now the next step is a reward system.
`The old points make prizes `
Make a timetable of work needed to be done and give yourself points for each half hour done or piece of work completed.
Lets say 1/2 hr = 10points. if you get distracted take away points if you complete the time you get a bonus 5points. Then decide on some rewards, a favourite TV programme a CD,chocolate etc, Once 50points reached you get a reward.
It might work, good luck with the exams.

I was a student once and had the same problem but did well and managed all my work. I don't know if this will help you but here it goes:
Do ALL your work (I'm sure you are) on the Computer. Typing held keep me busy enough to keep me going plus all the work is easy to edit etc.
Break it down into a table. Showing how much time you have left and what has to be done when.
Give yourself rewards... when I reach this I can watch my fav. TV program/have chocolate/ have a beer/phone my oh.
