For sure:
Passion of the Christ
United 93
Titanic
Probably:
World Trade Center
Saving Private Ryan
Apollo 13
Glory
Braveheart
I guess the common denominator for me is that a well-done movie based on historical events makes enough of an impact on the first viewing that I don't NEED to buy the DVD to remember it plain as day. However, some of these I have on DVD anyway because they're worth taking the time for repeated viewings!

I would definitely agree with you on Passion of the Christ, not something I would watch again.
Blood Diamond was good though, great movie. I saw it in the theaters and now i own the DVD.

none, because i dont go to theaters so if it doesnt come to dvd or cable id never get to see it, but as for movies you only need to see once, id say movies with a twist at the end like the sixth sence, the ring and the village, once you know the twist the movie looses all its impact

I would say those "screw-ball" comedies, that are super funny with you and your friends, but after you leave the movie, you tend to forget them, or what they were about. Not classics like "Revenge of the Nerds" but movies like:
1) Can't Hardly Wait
2) Any Movie with a "Flavor of the month" teen actor from television (notable exceptions of course movies like "Back to the Future" etc.)
3) Movies with Trend Setters like "P Diddy" and Paris Hilton; those movies might be funny once, but not more than once

Good call on Passion Of Christ - and mainly because I personally think it was a horrible movie.
Another one (for a different reason) would have to be Green Mile - simply because it was such a fantastic movie I was beside myself in tears while watching it!

Happy Feet. Very disturbing film, and it's for kids!! But you should always buy horrors on DVD because you never tire of them especially when you watch them with someone whose a scaredy cat!! :)

Blood Diamond was EXCELLENT... I could definitely see it at least one more time.
Turistas (came out yesterday) was one that I was very disappointed in though...
