I don't want anything too modern ... I am tired of modern. There was one I loved called The Madras Woodlands but I don't know if it is there
any more.

And they took down the nice old Shilton (on Residency Rd., as I remember) with that gorgeous tree in the front.

Please...have you some suggestions?

Thank you.

Yes.. If u are not into the 5 star league.. Then I suggest that you camp at a place called the Citizen's Lodge at Central Street... Most Foriegners on a budget Stay here.. its a very old one... motel style.....in a commercial and acesible but clean hub of Bangalore......Serive is more personalised unlike a hotel...... may cost u about 2000 Bucks a day for boarding anjd lodging......Or another called The Leela Palace Hotel.. 7 star.. very elegant and a copy of the Place of Mysore..its breath takingly beautiful and hospitable...But expensive... starts from 15,000/- bucks a day...

Yet another one is Woodlands in Bangalore That charges you about 3000 Bucks a Day I mean Indian rupees.. This place is very huge with a lot of open area and very Indian sort of setup... Belongs to the same Chennai Woodlands group...

When and while U are here You can very well call me on my cell at 9845035199 and I shall take u around to the best Indian North and south Cusines and Bargain stores...... and I would love the company....

There is an Empire Hotel on a side street off of Brigade Road which is in the heart of everything. I believe it's on Church Street. The standard rooms with a/c I believe are under 1000 RS. They have a restaurant also which has delicious food - their roasted chicken and shwarmas are delicious. There is another Empire Hotel going into Shivajinagar as well... not as nice and the area is not as nice, either.
