I would like to voulenteer at a hospital.....?

I am 13 years old and would like to voulenteer at a hospital. How would i do that? If i can't, where should i?

How awesome that you do want to volunteer and at a local hospital! You sound like a gifted person at age 13 wanting to help others without any remuneration (pay). As someone mentioned, the local hospital should have an office in order to contact the volunteer coordinator (or sometimes referred to as 'director of volunteers'). Human Resources/HR may be another place, but that is typically for paying jobs as opposed to volunteer jobs. I'll also post a website that may list other types of volunteer jobs in your locale. Church youth groups often do this sort of thing, local convalescent centers, school groups, etc. Check with your church, school, call the local convalescent center in your community. And remember, some of the volunteering you are speaking of might not be pleasant so be prepared and forewarned. The first responder is in the dark (as are so many here on Yahoo). You are underage and thus the HR department of any hospital cannot deal with you (a minor). Go the other routes and forget what the first person told you.

Go to the hospital that you'd like to work at and go to the HR office. Human Relations (HR) personnel can give you all the information and required paperwork that you'll need to fill out. Good luck.
