I have a better question what will you do if you get married? Just ask him to buy a little extra food, when his daughters come to visit.
BUT before you do that is it really that big of a deal because once you open that door you may not be able to shut it. He's doing the stand up thing taking care of and seeing his kids. Sounds like his trying.
Do you use a blow dryer and curling iron? your using more electric than he is, see how it's a slippery slope. Do you use light to put on your makeup? wash out your pantyhose? uses water.
In the big scheme of things I'd leave it alone. If you can't just do it with as much love and compassion as you can, because your talking about a man's money and his daughters.
Hope this helps

This is a hard one. I don't think 50/50 is fair for the food bill and if he is honest with you and himself, he wouldn't think so either. A possible solution would be to give him the amount you think is fair for the portions you consume and let him do the shopping. If you want snacks, buy them and eat them when you're in the mood, but don't keep them around for him to raid. I hope he is mature about this and will do right by you, dear.

Decide on how much you spend a week and divide it by 4, you should pay 1/4 of the food bill.

You buy your food, he buys his food. If you happen to make dinner for the whole family then he buy/ you cook. They are obviously going to eat more than you anyways. Keep your foods seperate so that noone eats someone elses food. Only way to do this if you dont have a joint acct.

well hrm.. if his girls where there.. and he wasn't there would you feed them anyways? or let them go hungry?
i don't see what the problem is unless he's eating everything, and his girls are eating everything.. and then your going hungry?
if your hungry.. buy some of your own food and put your name on it.. and tell no one else to eat it
