Three qualifiers.

First, I'm talking so close that an average sized person has a very tough time or can't get in on the driver's side.

Second, there are no extenuating circumstances causing the bad parking job (e.g. small spot, person on other side parked badly, etc.) We're talking just a plain bad parking job and they were too lazy and inconsiderate to straighten it out.

Third, when I say "key," I'm talking something in the neighborhood of a 2 foot scrape with the key on the fender or door.

No, i don't think their car deserves to be keyed, but a simple note on the windshield asking them to leave a can-opener and some vaseline for you to get in your car next time will do! :-)

Don't key the car since that causes so much damage-just bump your own car door into theirs, be sure and atleast make a small mark so they know you were there!
