Had a simular problem. Fuel pump was bad, car was parked so that at start up it was getting enough fuel to run, after it warmed up, pump cut out.

Check to see if you are getting gas next time it happens

I had this problem with a motorcycle. It turned out it was bad clearance on an exhaust valve. The engine would start fine, but when it warmed up the valve would stick in the open position and kill compression, so the engine would then fail.

Check your valve clearance, if it is relevant to your engine. A look at a repair/maintainance manual for your car will quickly tell you if it is an issue you should look at.

Another thing you might check is that the idle is set right some cars have a cold start setting that may allow the car to start and idle but after it warms up it switches back to a different idle setting. Plus check if it's getting hot ? ( some component may be heating up also and then failing after it get hot.) I HATE cars especially those that don't work ;)
