It's better just to get a new bottle, if your old one's clumpy then you've probably had it for a while and got some good use out of it already. I once tried thinning mine with a little nail polish remover. It thinned it down but made the nail varnish extra strong and I mean EXTRA STRONG. I couldn't get it off without soaking my nails in remover for at least 5 minutes. Looked great though.

No, water will ruin it. You can buy nail polish thinner at a beauty supply store, but it will probably cost less just to go buy a new bottle of black polish.

you need to add a thinner to it. I have in the past added nail polish remover and that helped but it wasn't black it was pink. I do not know if it will work on black. you may try adding clear to it if it don't have a small metal ball in it put a bb in there and shake it real good.

No, don't do that- it will ruin the polish. Buy a nail polish thinner, OPI makes one- you can find it in salons and stores like Ulta or Trade Secret.

i read once to try paint-thinner, but i dont know.... ur polish is just probably old so throw it away and get a better quality one like OPI.
