Yes. You should really see a doctor, or go to a clinic and have a pregnancy test and exam. The line could be light because it only detected a low level of hormone. Your period coming on could actually be due to stress, or spotting.

Usually if you read the directions it should say something about the coloring of the line. Most tests , like the one's I took , say faint or not if the line is there it's positive. I'd take another test in a week , if it still reads positive with a faint line make a doctor's appt and get a blood test.

Normally, faint line or dark like, a line means positive. However, just to be on the safe side you should take another pregnancy test tomorrow morning because hcg (pregnancy hormone) peaks in the morning time so you will get a more accurate result. Try first response or EPT. Women can have periods or light bleeding like spotting and still be pregnant, so the only way to know for sure is to take a test. Good luck.

I took one of those 1-line or 2-line tests. Both tests came out with the second line very very faint. It turns out I was pregnant. I would wait another day and take another test.
Then no matter what the other one says, go to the doctor.

Some women bleed during early pregnancy, you could go to the doctor and have a blood test done. I got a very faint positive line, and I am now 20 weeks pregnant.

Faint lines still usually mean a positive - you are either experiencing implant bleeding or a misscarriage.
I'd test again if I were you, maybe spend a few extra bucks for the ones that say "pregnant " or "not pregnant" so it's easier to tell.

If the test showed a faint positive you are or were probably pregnant. Some people bleed early in pregnancy and go on to have successful pregnancies. Other people have chemical pregnancies, where they get pregnant but miscarry around the time their cycle is due and therefore have the HCG in their urine. Good luck with whichever result you're hoping for.

I would advise you to go to the doctor to confirm it. You might be pregnant now, and bleeding while pregnant might be a sign of miscarriage. I had the same experience last year. The line on my HPT was really faint because my hcg level was really low. Then I started bleeding after 3 days, and went to the doctor. I later found out that I had a chemical pregnancy.
I sincerely hope that your is not the same case as mine.

Usually...a line is a line whether faint or dark...it's a line...and you know what that means.
I'd call the doctor and see what he says.
Women have been known to have periods throughout pregnancy...so It'd be smartest...to consult a professional.

I so remember those days!!!
Most likely you aren't pregnant. How long after you POS did the faint line show up? If it's after 15 mins it should be discarded. Those lines aren't a positive test.
False positives happen a lot, despite what you read.
I did fertility for years, so I know how badly you want those lines!! I used to stare at those tests for hours looking for that line.
Good luck hon.
