Now that would depend on the cost of living in your area, and the style you want to live in.
There are people for whom $100,000 per year is not enough because they insist on living beyond their means. And there are others who can appear to be comfortably well off living on $15,000 per year, because they live frugally.
So to answer your question: if you live frugally, then absolutely yes. If you are a playboy, then no way.

I'm not sure of the salary for firefighters, but I can post a website for the average salary according to the US occupational outlook handbook. I know that I heard a long time ago that firefighters have The most dangerous job of all jobs. I'm sure that you are already aware, but they have to do a lot of climbing and reaching and deal with smoke, carbon minoxide (that's in smoke and such) and of course, the fire itself. There are different levels of those on staff of a fire station such as the chief which will most likely bring in more money, but with a higher salary comes more stress, responsibility and longer hours. You can even get free training to become a volunteer firefighter and perhaps find out that way if you would like to do that type of job all day long for years to come. Bless you for wanting to go into one of the helping professions!

Of course it is. It may be an average starting salary in your area but has top end potatial, and usually great benefits. In most states, and depending on your employer, has a great pension plan which is invaluable. Do your homework on it. There are plus/minus' to every pay scale.
