I'd like to put those little sewing pins through the underside of the bottom sheet, and make a fine line/divider in the bed ... I think if he rolls over on it enough times, he'll get pinched, and it will train him eventually to stay on his side. This will also help keep the covers in place, his lack of movement.
I've asked this question a few times, and always get the same answers, separate covers, separate beds, etc.
I just want to know what you think of my idea!

i think you will end up learning the same lesson, and it will probably only result in bad feelings between the two of you......especially if you are both now sleep deprived. lol!
maybe you could take some old sheets and instead of the pins..............actually stitch the top sheet to the bottom sheet down the middle..............and once he's used to sleeping with like that, try sleeping with a normal set of sheets, maybe he will have become accustomed to the top sheet being sewn to the bottom that he will just continue with the learned behavior when they are the normal sheets.
just a thought!

It sounds like a good idea in theory, but in practice would probably be either ineffective, or even slightly dangerous. Have you considered sleeping in separate bedrooms? Perhaps you could threaten to kick him out of the bed for a week if he snatches the covers for more than say 3 evenings a week...eventually he'll learn not to, hopefully.

It's been 10 years... and I have solved the cover stealing... I "spoon" with my husband... tuck my leg in between his... We are practically one person all night long. Makes it difficult for him to roll over and take the blankets! It seems like a sweet, loving thing to do... but I have my hidden motive!

Actually when I read the title I was going to suggest thumb tacks but hey, if sewing pins are handy go for it.

your husband goes to work every day so you can stay home and play on the computer, I think you are nicer to your cat, maybe you should start being a good wife before your husbands finds a real woman and boots you and the cat out.
