Why do people think the holocaust a hoax?

Why do you people believe that the holocaust was a hoax? Why do they want to believe that it never happened. What would be the reasoning on faking the holocaust. Also I seen that Iran was holding a convention on disussing how the holocaust and people were freaking out. I heard in Germany its against the law to even speak anything about the holocaust being fake. Why would Germany out of all people wnat people to think they DID do that and that it wasn't fake? Wouldn't that actually make them look better?

Moral inversion is a tool of propaganda. The Nazi's did the same thing with regard to Czechoslovakia. E.G.: the Nazi minority was being squeezed off their land by the Czeck government, therefore we will send in the German "peace army".

Most Americans don't believe this. It's only a small minority of fundamentalist Christians.

The Jews did not suffer in Germany because there was no Holocaust. Actually it was the Jews that was torturing the poor blond haired deprived Germans. Those tattoos on the Jews arms and hands that are still alive today (by the grace of God) are really there because they want to be hip.

5. The Moon we see every night is really not there along with the planets, stars as well as the Planet Killing Asteroids. Those were put there by the evil United States to toy with our minds.

6. The fossils of homo eructus, neandertals and 15 other hominids that are extinct were put there by paleotologists, archeologists, and assorted rock hounds to enhance their careers. Creationism is the only reality.

Let me first say that yes there was a holocaust that killed millions of Jews along with many others as a previous poster stated. What can be disputed is the numbers and manner of their deaths.

Right after the war people said something like tens of thousands were gassed each week. Think of the logistics. For one thing, that much poison didn't exist. Secondly how do you handle that many tons of poisonous bodies?

The people did die, but more from overwork, poor food and poor health conditions. Still murder in my mind, but not all from gas chambers. Yes many were killed in gas chambers and other untold means of torture and murder, it's just that the majority were simply worked to death, much more economical for a godless regime.

Well the whole thing with Iran and the holocaust denial was a rebuttal toward Israel and their treatment of the Palestinians. I think in Iran's viewpoint is that if you were a victim of the holocaust you wouldn't do it to others. Also, the holocaust did not just target the Jewish communities; it targeted Roma, Sinti, political enemies, gays, mentally handicapped, Soviet POWs, just to name a few. Jewish deaths were approximately 6 million, total deaths were around 9-12 million. To say that only Jews died in the holocaust is being ignorantly blind.

Most of those who believe it was a lie are poorly educated and misinformed by their own leaders.

You have to understand that a well-educated populace is much harder to lead than a poorly educated one because every person can think for themselves, knows how to find their own answers, and forms their own opinions.

It is not in the interest of religious leaders or dictators to have a good education system. That's why so many schools are being bombed or closed in Islamic countries.

To have effective control over a population, you must have control of education, information and communication. In the developed countries, they have laws restricting such controls. In the oppressed countries of the world, they do what they want.

I want to add,I learned that while some acknowledge that it happened when confronted with the film footage, they argue the Germans were not responsible for the camps.

There are different historians who think that the proof of the holocost isn't proof enough. Also, some people wish not to believe it, because it is disturbing for them that genocide can actually happen.
