get a cat.
Perhaps the kitty doesn't mind mice, but its mere presence may scare the vermin.
And if the cat DOES mind the mice.. well, it'll do the dirty job for you and... the mice will have a quick, virtually painless death.
Greetings!!!

I bought the best thing at Home Deopt to take care of a mice problem. It is a little black box that will shock the mice to kill them.. It runs on batteries, you put peanut butter inside and the mice tunnel to the end and when they step on the metal plates at the end it shocks them. I feel like if there is a humane way to kill mice this is it, it kills them very quickly. I know this because I have opened it up right after the devise went off, and the mouse was dead immediately. A little light blinks when one is caught, and it is reusable over and over.
It cost about $20 and I think it is made by RID, I was a little sceptical at first paying $20, but now I love it so much I would do a commerical for them. Also safe for pets.
Hope this helps.

This is the most humane way I have used and it works. Take a bucket, and a piece of wood for a ramp and place it on the floor to the bucket as a ramp. Take some food (cheese) and put it around the bucket, up the ramp, and in the bucket. The mice should climb up the ramp and into the bucket. They can't get out of the bucket cuz the inside of the bucket is slipperly. Mice caught!! Hope this works!

Go to the hardware store and buy a live trap. I would stay away from those sticky traps because they tend to chew off their own legs to just to get away. After you catch them in the live trap drive them into the country or give them to a friend who has snakes. You could also get a cat.

take some mashed potato flakes and put them in a shallow dish. then put some water next to the potato flakes.. They eat the flakes then get thirsty for water. the water makes the flakes expand and POW blowed up varmint and no poison. Ok so it's not the nicest way but they get a last meal and it gets the job done.

If you saw 3 small mice, odds are that you will se a lot more.
You might want to consider extermination. There's at least one nest in your home.

Please don't use glue traps. They are cruel and inhumane. They should be banned IMO, you can't defend their use.
Snap traps should do the trick. Or you can also get a live trap and release them.
Just remember that you don't have to be cruel when removing them. There are always humane alternatives.
