to fit in designers' clothes

We (the consumers) see thin, "pretty" women wearing clothes that look great on them, think we can look like them by buying identical outfits, buy them, and make designers rich and happy. All one big cycle.
Honestly, a model is one of the stupidest, worthless, pointless, jobs out there, yet is in fact very lucrative if you can market yourself. What do you learn from being a model? How do you benefit society? I am not saying models aren't hard workers, because the constant traveling and working is quite stressful and exhausting. It's just... who on earth finds this attractive?

Beats me...back in the old days the models had at least a little meat on them...to me todays models look like those skeletal models found in Science Laboratories...infact they look almost identical!

Well it would not have been such a bad thing if they a least had a little bit of fat under their skin instead of being sooooooo skinny! Almost like broom sticks!

Because the designers like them that way. It shows off there clothes better. I think its sad because average americns aren't that skinny. Average americans don't wear there clothes either...lol
I really hope it changes ....soon!!

its not that they HAVE to be its that they WANT to be. They all should have at least a bit of fat cause it looks gross being boney. But not to much fat because thats worse.
