NadiaGirl- needs to grow up first of all and realize that she is ignorant and that without a variety of religions even less people would be religious at all and believe in nothing. I feel sorry for her. all people should be allowed to worship as they see fit to connect with the universe.
There is no holiday that corresponds with Passover and Easter. However Ramadan usually corresponds with the Jewish holiday of Yom Kippur - a day of repentance where Jews around the world fast from sun down to sun down.
Important Dates:
Hijrah New Year (20 January 2007)
Ramadan begins (13 September 2007)
Eid Al-Fitr (13 October 2007)
Hajj begins (18 December 2007)
Eid Al-Adha (20 December 2007)
Islamic New Year 1429 H. (10 January 2008)

Easter is about rebirth, and Passover is about being saved from disaster by god, so these holidays are actually not really related. None of the major Muslim holidays have this theme that I can think of, plus no major Muslim holiday is happening this time of year, this year.
How about avoiding religion and use something everyone can agree on and use Spring, the cycle of seasons and a return of nature theme? My only concern is that if you have to have a religious theme, using Spring would be view as a cop out, such as using Winter Festival instead of Christmas. BTW I consider myself philosophically Buddhist so I would be out of luck, but I love to celebrate the seasons and Wheel of the Year like the pagans.

There really is no corresponding holiday, unfortunatelly. thee are only two holidays, and none of them are any time soon. What could be fun for him is finding out how to right his name in arabic (or have him write it if he can) and have him write it real big and decorate it all pretty. It would be a unique project and possibly introduce your other students to a new culture.
