I have a problem with why the authorities have built them up to be something bad and the newspapers have jumped on the bandwagon. If someone is going to do something bad, or act out of order what they are wearing makes no difference. The reason a big fuss has been made over hoodies is because the authorities can't see who is under the hood with all their surveillance cameras - they hate the fact that they can't tell who it is under the hood and thus can't keep track of peoples every move. This is the same thing with the veil issue.

Hooded tops have been fashion for years, no one had a problem with them 10-20 years ago...but back then we weren't being monitored as closely with cctv.

I'm living in Spain and hoodies aren't a problem here. Some of the kids are a bit naughty but it's not on the scale of the UK

its not the fact that they are wearing hoodies that is the problem - that term never even used to exsist - when i was younger - well about 5 years ago, i ALWAYS wore a hoodie top - purely coz it was comfy and warm and i could get one with my fave band name on - korn or slipknot. Its ridicolous to judge people just on what they are wearing.

hoodies? the jackets? - i wear them around the house and when i'm running. i love em.

- i guess i have no idea what you're talking about, unless you're calling everyone who wears them a gutter rat. that's a lot of people...

Yes I think that they are a global problem, I once got mugged for my mobile phone by two hoodies. I know it's bad to generalize but I don't trust them anymore.

I have a lot of them - I am lucky that they do not bother me but they are causing trouble on the other side of my street - they are stealing cars racing them around in a bit of open ground we have and setting fire to them - these are a few of the older kids but generally the others are ok

why dont you get off the bandwagon and actually think about what you're saying? you're dehumanising them. they're not just a collection of hoods, they're people, with feelings, and families and personalities. if people are going to treat them like pieces of sh!t, dont be surprised when they start acting like it. are they really doing more harm than anyone else, or is whatever harm they're doing just more visible to you because they're on the streets with nowhere to hang around. come on, you were young once too. maybe you just didnt have enough mates to hang around with
