The upset stomach is morning sickness...and unfortunately the prenatals will probably make it worse for a while...but you need them...so break them up and take them a half at a time or whatever...or you can also talk to your doctor and see if he can give you a milder one that doesn't upset your tummy so much.
I took Citrical Prenatal and they didn't upset me at all or even constipate...they are excellent.
You need to drink alot of water when you are pregnant...but during the first trimester..drinking tons of water will probably just make you sicker... Try sipping ginger ale
You can try eating "Preggy Pops" ...anything with ginger in it should help ...the preggy pops worked for me.
And as gross as it sounds to you right now...the biggest thing that helped for me...is eating. I know, it's the last thing you want to do right now...but it helps.

The vitamins made me sicker. But do not stop taking them. They are essential for brain development as well as other things that are important for your baby. I have been pregnant four times and very sick all four. My doctor prescribed some prenatels that were not as harsh on the stomach as the ones I as taking over the counter. The vitamins are probably not the only reason you are sick though. Being sick is a sign of a healthy pregnancy. Try to take the vitamins on a full stomach. Try to eat small amounts of food throughout the day. Salty things work well like saltines. And I used to suck on candy when I was at work and could not eat. Just try not to let your stomach get empty. With most women this will pass after a few months. If not let your doctor know, there are medications that you can take for the nausea. Hang in there, when your baby arrives you will forget all about this unpleasantness.

Prenatal vitamins are extremely important, so don't stop taking them. However, I always took mine an hour or so before bed. Also, I always found that if I ate a lot of protein in small amounts throughout the day, it would help with the nausea. Even though eating is the last thing you want to do, make yourself eat an ounce of cheese and then have a scrambled egg in the morning. Also, if nothing sounded good to eat, a 1/2 cup of chocolate soy milk would hold off the nausea for a little bit. The key is to force yourself to have small amounts of food during the day and stay away from simple sugars - they seem to make things worse. Good luck and know it will eventually go away (mine always did around 11 to 14 weeks).

Some ppl actually say their prenatal vitamins make the sickness even worse and that they upset their stomachs. Just to be sure, I always took mine with dinner and never had a problem. As for morning sickness, it is sort of like a right of passage... there are certain things you can do like drink water to stay hydrated, eat crackers and make sure you never have an empty stomach, and get plenty of rest, but really, it just takes time. Also, your dr. can prescribe phenegrin for the nausea. That helped me more than anything else.

Actually your prenatal vitamins can make you a bit sick to your stomache. Your body isn't used to all the extra vitamins and such. I always took mine right before bed so that I would be asleep before the neasua(sorry) would hit. They do help with your folic acid intake which helps your babies brain develepment. Get used to being tired all the time. Pregnancy takes a lot out of you, and once that baby gets here, its a different kind of tired all together.

Sorry I don't think Prenatals will help your upset stomach, that is morning sickness. And it doesn't have to be just in the morning, it can be all day. Try to keep seomthing in your stomach, eat small meals every two hours or so and before you get out of bed eat some crackers to put something in your stomach right off the bat. If you vomit too much and cannot eat , talk to your doctor, they might give you something.

Prenatal vitamins made me even more sick because of all the iron in them. The doctor told me to take 2 Flinestone vitamins and those act just like a prenatal vitamin and they are softer on your stomach. I am now 38 weeks pregnant and so far so good!!! I know it really sucks when you are already feeling sick and you have to take vitamins on top of that which are making you even more sick. Well, I hope I've helped you!! Congrats and Good Luck!!

no, prenatal vitamins dont usually help this, they are vitamins, not medication, in fact they make some people more sick
take them on a full stomach and not first thing in the morning.
when you go to the doctor you can talk to him about this and they may give you different vitamins that dont make you as sick.
