We have been together for almost four years and we just bought a house together. Everything in our relationship is wonderful, except for the rare times we have an argument. My only reaction is to cry and he feels that he can't ever talk to me without me getting upset. I need to learn to manage my emotions but I don't know where to start. Help! Before I lose him...

Honey, I am finding out that as much as you may want to control the emotions, chances are that you will not ever be able to. You are emotional, which means you are probably sensitive, caring. creative and intelligent. You are probably a thinker and worry a lot. You should love yourself for all of your good qualities and forgive yourself for the ones you don't like. You were born with thin skin. It is what it is... The best answer is to give it up. Love yourself for who you are.

Read some books about that or ask psychologist.

Ask yourself if you feel like a child and he's the parent(in an argument) and if that's the case maybe that is why you react the way you do?

Try counseling... If you do go, bring him to everyother session so he understands that you are not making your self do it...Good Luck.. I know how it is... My husband used to just get made at me.

Tell him not to shout when you "talk" and you can't talk to him when he does shout. You can argue without shouting.
