I honestly could not care less. It does not affect me in any way. I only a problem with things being forced on people. Everyone is entitled to an opinion, but that is where it should stop. No one should ever have the right to tell a person what they unless it is hurting someone. As a straight man, I can honestly say that homosexuality has not hurt any of my relationships and I do not even see it as destroying my way of life. This has been going on for thousands of years and will continue to do so. Get over it and move on.

People who say 'it doesn't affect them' are ignorant & not thinking it though. Most things affect all of us at one time or another, whether it's direct, social, economical etc. Gay marriage would affect ALL of us and the generations to come. The proposition of two people of the same gender being able to legally marry is not only unnatural and goes against the perfect design of marriage but it is also a decay of one of our last societal traditional contracts that our nation is founded on. It is a direct assault to family values as it has always been & opens up a 'pandora's box' of who can marry what & so on. It should not be changed because certain people feel at one time or another that they are "gay." For heaven's sake, they are still battling over what is "gay" and how people become "gay." For some they are born that way? and for others it's a choice? Not enough reason to re-direct our socio-economical tradional family roles that were established long ago for our own good. Just think about it.

I'm not exactly sure why people are against gay marriage. It could be because people believe that the Bible and the Bible doesn't promote gay marriage. Yet those same 'Bible beaters' themselves don't practice what the Bible teaches. It could also be because people are afraid of what they don't understand. Maybe people today listen to the government and believe what the government tells them and aren't able to put a thought together and come up with their own opinion on the subject. It could also be that people feel the need to point the finger at someone else as to direct negative attention onto someone else and not on them. Personally, I am a Christian, and I try everyday to obey the laws set for me by Christ. While I don't beleive that the union of two males or two females is morally ethical, I'm not in the practice of making people feel bad about their choices in life. I won't judge people for the choices they make, nor will I preach my religion or ethics to them. I believe that God gave us free will and with the knowledge given to us in the Bible, we should all try to make the correct decision everyday of our lives. God's Golden Rule states 'Treat people as you would want to be treated.' Therefore I wouldn't treat a homosexual person any different than a heterosexual person. The bottom line is that we're all human and we all deserve to be treated with respect.

It doesn't affect them, it affects the whole institution of marriage. That's what people are afraid of. It's not a natural thing, despite what people want to say. I think its great that so many people are coming out and I don't care what they do with their lives. But marriage is touchy subject. So it will be a long time before people are comfortable with it.

Why are you so against "Spelling Nazis"? I sense hostility from you towards Nazis in general. How is that tolerant of others' beliefs?

doesn't affect me, but I strongly don't think that gays are meant to be together, thats like letting a ladybug and a spider have sex and get married... in the way of life that just doesn't happen, but for some messed up reason guys are laying with guys and girls are laying with girls and expect to be able to raise normal children.... children grow up to be like there parents, we just don't need a world more messed up and thats my personal opinion and I'm sticking to it.

I see it like this.
Only straight people have been getting married and the divorce rate is 50%.
Politicians have affairs on their wives and nobody cares.
There are books out about how to not get caught.
Society condones swinging and "open marriages."
So how much worse can homosexuality hurt the "sanctity" of the union?
Maybe let them get married and show us straight people how to stay together..

I'm not against it. I think gay people should be able to enjoy the court ordered separation, divorce, and losing half your stuff in the battle. Go crazy gay people....
