A bit of advice: Save your money. Those lotions and potions may aide with the itchy skin but won't prevent stretch marks. They are genetic. Some lucky women don't get them and some do. I slathered every lotion (expensive and cheap) all over my belly, guess what? Still got them. The upside is, they fade in time. Anyone that claims success with any lotion or cream or oil just has good genes. Best of luck.

I have been using a cream formulated specifically to prevent stretch marks since I found out I was pregnant. Turns out, there is nothing that can prevent them, I used this fairly expensive cream day and night and just noticed this weekend that the stretch marks have started (I am now 35 weeks pregnant) I just keep hoping that by using this cream everyday they wont get as bad or that they'll go away faster than if I had used nothing. Good Luck :)

My mom never got any - throughout all 4 of her pregnancies... She told me to put baby oil on my belly, lower back, breasts, etc when in the shower.... from the time you find out you're pregnant. This way - you're belly will stay soft and supple (and hopefully the skin won't stretch/tear)
I also put cocoa butter lotion on every other day.
These should help - but they are somewhat hereditary - so even if you do these things, you may still get them.
Also - not gaining too much weight too fast will help... if the skin has more time to grow and stretch, you'll be less likely to get them :)

I used a combo of aloe vera oil and pure cocoa butter in the stick from GNC. Put on moist skin and as many times as you possibly have time for! Eat good food and take your prenatel vitamins everyday! Start taking prenatel vitamans BEFORE you get pregnant if you can.
Then, skin Firming lotion by AVON or any good one with caffiene and seaweed will work to tighten the skin after. I have not one stretchmark and was able to return to modeling in just weeks. www.myspace.com/tinajalove

With my first pregnancy i got two tiny white stretch marks on my belly and used plain everyday lotion because the oils made my belly itch more. Now pregnant with 2nd baby and from day one i've used Cocoa butter, Cocoa butter oil, scar serum, lotion for dry skin/everything and my stomach has red vany looking lines from the bottom to right past my navel.
So i don't think it matters because if your going to get them that your going to get them.

My first wife used Lanolin and cocobutter. Any good creame applied generously will help the skin to stay supple and keep from creating stretchmarks.

Cocoa and shea butter lotions are really the best. Not only does it help you avoid stretch marks it also gets rid of them when you get them.
