I was a communication studies major and I'm currently in law school. A lot of the people I graduated with were going to go into pharmaceutical sales. One guy had his own advertising business before graduating, another was going to manage athletes. Some were leaning towards public relations, one was going to be the director of a non-profit agency, another was going to grad school to be a school counselor and two others were going into research. One girl went to work for the politician she interned for and several others are still waiting tables. It's a versatile degree, you can do anything with it you want. If you're planning on going to grad school, it's a great gateway degree because it is writing-intensive(at least it was at my school) which really gives you an edge. If you don't plan on going to grad school, a practical minor such as business or a foreign language will plump up your resume and set you apart from all the other comm majors.
