I personally think that any more than 2 sets of stripes on a man whilst dressed in a suit is too many. My bf maintains that its okay if all the stripes are different and supports this with men's style guru's blessing. Personally i think it looks much too busy with a striped tie, shirt and suit!! thoughts?

it really all depends on the colors, the amount & size of the stripes on all articles of clothing ... suit, shirt & tie. it's doable, but honestly, not many can pull it off & like i said, you have to consider the aforementioned when dressing & deciding what goes best w/ what. but it can be done.

Boy, I would say that two would be plenty. Seems like the idea is contrast. Striped tie/plain shirt...plain shirt/striped tie.

Yes I agree, more than 2 is just too much. Why does he like stripes so much? They look better on pajamas. Well, usually.
