In your internet explorer. go to the drop down menu's at the top.
Click on help then click on "about Internet explorer"
This will show you which version you have.

On top go to Help on the task bar and then scroll down to about internet explorer this will tell you what version you have.

For version information the universal style is click on "help" and then "about...." This works for almost all programs.
