Looking for the average rate a company charges to send an IT (or tech support) guy out to a business. NOT how much the support guy makes, I'm looking for how much is billed to the company. ($40 an hour, $80 an hour, etc). Thanks!

Out to a business?

It all depends on your reputation for quality in the work.

Some companies will charge $100 an hour, starting with the moment the support guy leaves the store.

Others charge $60 an hour.

It is also very dependant on the market for this service in your area.

This depends on the type tech support needed. If it is basic PC repair then it is going to be a lot less than if you want someone to install a network. Also depends on where you live- example in CA it will cost much more than in MS.

One thing that no one else has taken into consideration, at least that I didn't see, is the physical location.

For instance, here in Northwest Arkansas, you can easily get $90/hour. In rural Arkansas, say, an hour south of here, they'd balk at anything above $50/hour.

It just depends on the computer, the type of work they preform, how specialized it is, how much competition they have, etc.
