I was on a flight in a thunderstorm when lightning scored a hit on the plane. There was a flash and a tremendous "boom" in the cabin, probably from thunder. The airplane was not affected, nor were the passengers except for the occasional soiled underwear. So I don't know which answer fits.

A

Unless you saw it hit a wing tip you would probably never know it happened. The only lightening strike damage I ever saw on an aircraft was damage to the tail of a B47. And that damage was limited to some scorching and burning out a light bulb. The bulb was probably blown by the lightening but there was no proof that is was. It could have just been its time go bad.

You would hear it though. And it would be really loud and close. However - you would not feel anything. You are inside a conductor (metal plane), and one of the electrical laws shows that there is no charge inside.

Plus - you are not grounded at all - so the strike would be harmless. Ever wonder why a bird can sit on electric wire and not be hurt? They're not grounded either - so there is no current.

Ooh!! This happened to me last time I was flying... I was sitting in a window seat looking over the wing. We were flying through I really dark rainstorm-y cloud and I was absently looking out the window. I heard this sparking-snapping noise and this bolt of yellowy-whitish electricity hit the wing and bounced off. It did absolutely nothing to the plane... also did absolutely nothing to me... at least I think... lol.
