Yes, my parents are older than most, but I don't look at it as being bad. They struggled to have kids, so that's why they're older. Yeah, they let me do stuff and hang out with friends on the weekends, not ever during the week, which I guess is good. And they're fun to be around, but when it comes to schoolwork, that's the first priority during the week. Whenever I have to make some really big decision, I can talk to them. I'm only 15, but I have a really different, more conservative point of view than most people my age. I'm better at handling money and before I make a big purchase, I research it. I'm not very impulsive. I don't have a cell phone and don't want one.

The thing is, whenever my friends find out I have older parents, not because I tell them, it could be some other way, they're just like really stunned and it feels really awkward. I don't know. I'm scared my parents won't be able to see me get married or have kids, but they're very supportive of me. Any Advice?

hey Never feel ashamed or anything about your parents ..from what you say they have raised you as a good young man.. IF your friends have a problem with it ..then its THIER problem not yours so stop worrying about what your friends think & just enjoy your life right now

Look don't worry about what your friends say or think!! Your parents seem like they are doing a wonderful job rising you. That's always a good thing. You are getting ready to face the world one day. Your parents will always be with you no matter what. Don't look at it that way of them not seeing your family in the future. It's part of life. So just enjoy life with your parents!!!

it sounds like you have good parents.and you turned out well.as for your friends.i don't know what there problem is.they shouldn't care you might have to find new friends.i had friends with older parents it didn't bother me.as far as being afraid of your parents not being a round when you get married one never knows what will happen, some people live a very long life my father died when i was 12,and he was only 37.but your parents raised you right and strong.you will be alright take one day at a time.put the idea of them dying out of your head.it can happen at any age.im glad to see someone loves there parents as much as you do.

You don't have a problem, as I see it. Just odd friends. You're actually quite lucky. My parents had 5 kids before they were 26 years old and were terrible parents because they had no money and no parenting skills.

My husband's parents are much older than mine and nobody ever thought it was weird.
