To paraphrase, the ASPCA doesn’t buy menu foods explanation for the pet food contamination being caused by aminopterin. The symptoms are not consistent with aminopterin and the finding has not been corroborated by the FDA (or even a second lab)…

It was mentioned on CBS news today that no other labs have been able to confirm aminopterin's presence in the food.

Greenpeace reciently made claims that a genetically modified corn fed to mammals caused kidney failure. Please see:

Not only should they check if that corn is used as a filler for the pet food, but also if the animals used in making the pet food were fed that corn.
