if my premium keeps breaking down I will definitely trade mine in like super suggested and buy a extended warranty on the elite. Calling the new xBox the "zephyr" is like calling the WII the "Revolution" or Windows Vista "Longhorn". Take it easy on that nonsense.

You can already get a discount, it's called a trade-in. You take your 360, sell it to the store, then use the credit to buy the Zephyr.

Anyone and everyone gets the discount..if you mean if you have one you should get the game or whatever for free or more of a discount then no. People know later on the price of things go down...if thats not what you meant then I have no idea...

why would you get a discount? will I get a discount for spider-man 2.1 because I own spider-man 2? NO!
Your tade-in is your discount. They should however drop the prices of the core & pro 360 consoles though.

this is why i hate microsoft. they screwed all there loyal fans. this should have been the original system. or they should never have upgraded. i sold my 360 cuz it was junk and bought the ps3. greatest decision of my life. i hate the 360 and the 360 fanboys but i do feel sorry for you guys. i really do. its not fair to have a better system come out now. its like if sony created the super ps3 now, i would feel like crap. sorry

A discount would be nice, but they are not offering an upgrade program. Just sell your old one on ebay or craigslist, and then by a new one.
