I fell off a ladder about 5 weeks ago and hit my head on the pavement, I still have a small amount of swelling. They did a catt scan and found nothing wrong, but I have not been able to detect any odors since it happened, not even a skunk..

This site lists the loss of smell as a symptom of head trauma. I suppose it is a less common side effect. It's been over a month I would have some one take a look a nurelogist or Ear, Nose and Throat, were listed as specialists to contact. Good luck.

Wow that is very interesting, i would go see a neurologist about that, I am a paramedic and have never heard of anything like that and would assume that you damaged some of you olfactory nerves witch could indicate a submaxillary facture that they didnt detect. Good luck
