The first start the car starts right up. If I turn it off and then immediately restart it, it was start fine. If I let the car sit for 20 minutes or so, the car will start but run poorly (like it is flooded), Usually dies and then is very hard to restart. If I can keep it running (remember it sounds flooded) for a few minutes it works its way through its problems and will run fine until the next time. I put a new starter on it but that has not cured the problem. Any suggestions??

Sounds like the fuel is getting hot when you shut the vehicle off for a short time. maby a heat shield is missing from the exhaust or in a n area close to a fuel line. follow the fuel line from the top of the engine to the back of the car and see if it's running close to the exhaust or anything hot. if the fuel is boiling in the line that would explain your problem. then when you start the vehicle and cold fuel works it way up the line the problem corrects itself. if you find a suspect area try insulating the fuel line in that area. good luck

My guess......fuel injectors are are worn out and not closing all the way seeping fuel into the engine.

Have the fuel system tested for leak down. Expect to have to replace all the injectors.

fouled injecters. A starter wouldn't affect this pblm.

im not quite sure but if you ask me, i think its either your radiator is damaged or it ran out of water, because that would definetly cause it to overheat and not want to start up.
