Simple - because we can't accept rejection.
We can't think that possibly the person doesn't fancy us and we are chasing the dream WE want rather than considering what the other person wants and feels.

Maybe we want then to approve of us.
They might represent someone who didn't fully accept (like a critical parent) us the way we wanted to be accepted before, and are trying to fill that void with the current person.
If they don't like you or accept you, find someone else who will.
Life is too short to be bummed about those that do not like us, when there are more that will :)

Dunno-never had that problem dear-maybe some people's expectation levels of others are too high!!
Remember the old saying:
Women need a reason for love
Men only need a place.

hrmmmmmmm......good question
Its called love and no matter how rationally we look at the relationship, our emotions get the better of us. We listen to hearts more than our heads basically. We have control over what we think but we have no control over what we feel.
You have no option but to accept what youre feeling and to go with the flow.

Because we're human i suppose. If we could all pick ourselves up and carry on much faster than we do, everything would be easier. It's just getting your hopes up only to be let down i think. Rejection. It hurts, but life goes on.

Transference.
We all put our mental image onto the person we love in the hope they will become like it. It never does. The intelligent cope. The stupid become serial spouses.

if you love someone your going to want them to love you and if they dont you will feel rejected so my advice would be to not tell the guy you love them until you know that they love you back

If you really thought it was fate in the first place then I guess it seems impossible for fate to just change?

great question, btw.
anyways, i think people think like that coz they still want something more, and it's hard to accept it coz the feelings aren't returned. it's like saying "you want your cake but you can't have it" - you really want that person, but they're just not interested
