In my system properties, it shows Intel(R) Pentium(R) D...and in the device manager it shows i have 2 processors both Intel(R) Pentium(R) D 3.00GHz...What is the meaning of this?

You have a dual core processor.

It's really one physical processor but it is in effect acting as 2 and can do twice as much work.

It may be a dual core processor. It'll show 2 if it is. Look under device manager and see if it lists it there under video adapters maybe. I can always find mine somewhere else, but have a slightly different setup...

You have a dual core cpu, which is 2 cpu's sandwiched together on a single die.....thats why you see 2 processors....

You can find out it from the system information. You would get every details form it. if you want something more then please install a utility named loginventory.It will tell you each and every details of your computer, from the processors serial no to video cards name, software version every thing. i find it the most use full to find system configuration.
