Silicates are radicals that are formed by combination of silicon and oxygen. So the answer is OXYGEN.

MINERALS is the answer, but you must not get the idea that the only the intrusive rocks are formed by minerals. Actually all the rocks are assemblages of minerals

LOSE ELECTRONS. Electrons are negatively charged, almost mass-less particles. So, losing electron will make an atom positively charged.

An ATOM. Atom is the smallest particle of an element showing all the characters of the element.

AT THE EQUATOR. Because any point on the equator will cover the maximum distance in a fixed interval of time, than any point on tropic of cancer, arctic circle or north pole.
