i work in a supermarket and after long 7 years on the checkouts, i have decided that i want to apply for position at a bank.

the application forms asks:
1) What are your qualities that would make you a successful employee at RockBank?

2) Describe a time when you’ve gone out of your way to help someone?

3) What is your proudest achievement, and what were the qualities that enabled you to be successful?

any ideas as to what i should write?

Firstly, you need to think honestly what are the qualities that would make you successful and then think about what qualities you think they would be looking for and pick out the ones that best match.

Secondly, think about all the people you've helped in the last few months, don't go back any further. There will be loads and remember sometimes its the little things that count.

Thirdly, What is your proudest achievement - with this one its not really the achievement they are are looking out but how you got there.

Fourthly, don't worry too much just go for it and sell yourself and how good you are.

definitely, I would think the bank will be much higher paid, not to mention it looks great on a C.V. because it shows you have good skills in loads of areas when youve worked in a bank for a while.........
1) i would say something like: '' working in a supermarket for 7 years gave me great people skills, I am able to communicate with others in a responsible, formal and polite way. I also feel I picked up a good skill at maths, and make no hesitation when put under pressure.''
For the other two questions youre gonna have to come up with something yourself, becasue we dont know the real answers lol :D well hope i helped :-) Dan

I don't mean to be funny love but having worked in a supermarket for that length of time, you should be able to answer those three questions quite easily. Helping someone load up their car with shopping after you had to put trolleys away. You would have gone out of your way as its not part of your job. Easy peasy!!!
