Was there one potential encounter in particular that you let slip away out of faithfulness to your spouse?

Mine was Igor, an affectionate, hazel-eyed Slav who worked at the local pizza joint who returned with his family to Europe after the collapse of Communism to try to rebuild their country. I wanted so badly to give him a parting send-off worthy of his youthful idealism, but those pesky wedding vows got in the way.

Any other stories of sacrifice for the sake of honor out there?

i'm sure there are a lot -- and kuddos to all those brave souls. i would like to think that when i do get married, my partner will also honor our vows like that. ;)

I got married before I really knew what I was doing. Well, I had a commitment ceremony at any rate, met this woman I thought I loved. Really, I didn't, I was just afraid to leave her. However, when I met Fiona, I started to realize what love was. I cheated on my 'wife' with Fiona and here I am, six years later, still deeply in love with Fi, still in a stable relationship. Being a cheater once doesn't mean you're always doing to cheat, and I believe we'll continue to be together until 1 of three things happens. 1. One of us dies. 2. We decide to end it mutually or 3. One of us betrays the others trust.

And my 'wedding vows' meant nothing to me, as the relationship meant nothing. Having said that, since becoming committed to Fiona, my vows have meant a great deal to me!

I've been in an open relationship with my wife for 31 years, so there's not a way to be unfaithful.

We are currently polyamorous. She get's veto power over any new love interest I have. I feel no need to exercise such a restriction for her.

If you are asking about my last relationship, it was a year long relationship with my bf and gf. We had a full triad (three person relationship) and were very much in love. I still love and miss them dearly.
