i think he can sing but the kind of singing hes actually good at isnt right for the show and wont get him alot of attention after the show i think the only reason hes still on the show right now is because howard stern is telling all his listeners to vote for him every week

I don't think people like him, but I do think America wants him around because he's so unpredictable. Every week, he has a new crazy hairdo and America wants to see more of Sanjaya Malakar. At first, I actually did like him, with his big, goofy smile. He was also a good singer in his audition. But, he is definately NOT the next American Idol. :)

He has a nice personality and he looks cute. But he cannot sing as well as the other contestants in American Idol. In general, I'd say I like him but that wouldn't be a reason to vote for him.
I didn't like how he was bitchy to Simon though. It was a bit rude. I mean Simon is always rude to him, so Sanjaya may feel that saying something back to Simon would be akin to taking revenge. However, I don't believe in such tit-for-tat stuff. An eye for an eye leaves us all blind.

Well if you all wanna know why he's still in it's because Howard Stern and www.votefortheworst.com are telling people to vote for him because he's great comedy.
I for one love Sanjaya and I'm a 16 year old boy :D.

His fan base is full of young girls, he is a cutie, but the singing is not there. The only reason he is still in the competition is because of his looks. I really hope America does not vote him the next American Idol.

I don't like Sanjaya he is very annorying instead of them letting the other girl go last week they should had booted him. I mean people think he is all that and he isn't. and the Hair style he had last night was stupid he makes me sick to my stomach. i think he is weird and people go crazy over him. please he is a looser. and people have comments about Melinda Doolitlle sh eis a great singer, and i think she will become the next American Idol.

I don't get why pre-teen girls find him so great. Imean, he can't sing and he's not good looking either. That crying girl was so pathetic. And now she gets all this media attention just for being over emotional. Come on...!!!

No, the only reason he is on is because there is this whole radio station voting for him, just so that they can ruin american Idol. Personally I think he is terrible. HE has no right to be on American Idol. Did you see his hairdo last night on American Idol. Omg, it was so ugly it was a mohawk, except it was fake and it was hideous. This is what my mom says about him "Omg, he is so gay".
