Lately I find myself swallowing more, and it makes a large gulping noise when I do it. I find it happens more when i'm being interrogated in a way.. any ideas?

Theres this guy in my class who does this constantly, and it looks to me like his is either a nervous thing, or he does it unconciously. He will do it when he gets put on the spot in class (like answering a question), but also will just randomly do it for no reason at all.

If it is psychological and not a physical reason you are doing it, you can probably train yourself to stop all on your own. If you feel it coming on, just try not to do it. Think about how you dont NEED to do it, but you do it because your mind tells you to. You just gotta work at it really hard, and hopefully correct it before you get used to it anymore. good luck!

You have developed it in to a habit like knuckle cracking or nail biting. Just try to recognize when you have the urge to do it and eventually you will be able to stop it.

It's a nervous reaction.
Under stress we produce more saliva and sweat.

sounds like a nervous problem,or a mental problem (kidding)
maybe if you drink more water your throat may be dry.it happens to me sometimes you may be thinking about it to much. or your glands maybe swelling.
