hi, I'm in the same boat(sort of). I was always irregular too when it came to my cycle, so bout 3 years ago I got on BC to have regular cycles. Everything was good the whole 3 yrs(As far as my cycle goes). So I decided to come off the pill on Feb. 23rd '07 and got my period the very next day(feb.24), it lasted about 5 days which to many people is normal. But the thing is, I haven't come back on since. I was supposed to come on march 24th, it's now march 28th and I still haven't come on. I called my doc and the nurse talked to me and said if i took a hpt and it came up neg then most likely I'm not preg(I took the test twice), and that being that I was irregular b4 the pill, that mostly likely it's going back into that phase(which sucks!) But she also said if i dnt come back on by next tues(apr. 2nd) to give her a call. So I don't know what to do except WAIT!! But you can still become preg with irregular periods cuz your body still ovulating. Just talk to your doc and see wat they say and take a test! Well good luck on ttc!!!

Hmm, well your period is now just about 10 days late, which is long enough. I would wait another few days and see if anything happens. If not then go and get yourself a pregnancy test.
Also, there's a website called my monthly cycles that I use, and it's a good way to chart your periods and to find out when your next ovulation date is and stuff. Might be handy for you in determining when your next ovulation date is. It's a free site and very easy to use.

I know the feeling about having your heart broken when you see the negative tests. I am currently trying for my 3rd, and I'm hoping that it happens soon. I've had a hell of a time for the last 2 years, from being wrongfully diagnosed with something that would prevent pregnancy, to other very stressful things.
I wish you both the best of luck. Remember, keep trying and never give up. While you might be trying and know it can happen at any given time, when it does happen it will come as the biggest shock and surprise ever.

If you're unusually tuned into your body, you might begin to suspect that you're pregnant within the first few days of pregnancy. But, most women don't suspect they are pregnant until they miss a period, and a few don't suspect or believe they are pregnant for months after conception.
Here are 5 common signs of early pregnancy. You may experience all, some or none of these symptoms.
1. A Missed Period. Missing your period is the most clear-cut sign of pregnancy. But it is not definitive, as stress or other factors may cause irregular periods.
2. Frequent Trips to the Bathroom. Even before missing a period, most pregnant women report having to go to the bathroom more often. You may even have to get up during the night! This occurs after the embryo has implanted in the uterus and begins producing the pregnancy hormone called human chorionic gonadotropin (hCG). This hormone triggers frequent urination.
3. Fatigue. Utter exhaustion is a very early sign of pregnancy. Fatigue is a result of high levels of the hormone progesterone.
4. Morning (and Noon and Night!) Sickness. Guess what? That queasy feeling isn't limited to mornings. Most pregnant women who experience morning sickness feel slightly nauseated at other times during the day as well. About half have vomiting, but very few have severe enough morning sickness to develop dehydration and malnutrition.
5. Sore (and Enlarged) Breasts. If you're pregnant, your breasts will probably become increasingly tender to the touch, similar to the way they feel before your period, only more so. Once your body grows accustomed to the increase in hormones, the pain will subside.
If you have any of the above symptoms, consider taking a pregnancy test as soon as possible.

It's hard to say, because you are irregular. Some people say that you can tell by looking into your eyes, that something change. Do you have any symptoms that may say you are going to get your period soon? Or Do you feel different, pay attention to small details, that can give you an idea. Our body is always sendings us messages that something is going on inside us, but we never pay attention, or sometimes we don't understand the signs because we don't care.
