Now is not the time to lose weight. Just eat healthy and exercise. You can lose weight after the baby is born.

Wellllll you CAN safely lose weight suring pregnancy, but you're in your second trimester and it's too late. Baby is getting bigger and can't afford for you to use more calories than you take in, which is what you'd have to do to lose weight. A little bit of weight loss is okay in the first trimester, even normal because of morning sickness, and the baby is so small that it doesn't need much from you. I'd recommend going for fat loss, not actual pounds lost according to the scale. Just eat healthily and exercise for about half an hour daily...walk, swim, do yoga...whatever works for you! You WILL notice a difference, but don't aim to lose 10 pounds at this point in your pregnancy. At this point you should gain weight at the rate of about a pound a week! If you exercise like I'm talking about, it will lessen this weight gain, and make it where you're lighter at the end of your pregnancy than you would have been had you not eaten well and exercised...which will save you some hard work after the baby is born! I hope I made sense, and I hope I helped. This is what I am doing myself, and it's working.

If you are overweight before you become pregnant, it CAN be safe to lose weight while pregnant. However, it is not safe to TRY to lose weight while pregnant, make sense?
Some women's metabolism works better when pregnant, so some women will lose excess body fat during pregnancy even if they are eating well. Also, many women lose weight during the first trimester because of severe morning sickness--and while this is not a GREAT thing, it is not horrible.
I always lose weight during the first trimester, and my doc says that for me, that's perfectly healthy. We do regular ultrasounds to make sure the babies are growing well, and I eat well and exercise lightly. It just so happens that my body cranks up my metabolism during pregnancy, meaning that even if I eat 2500 calories a day, I sometimes still lose weight. Mostly, I think I lose weight because I pay more attention to what I'm eating--no soda, very little junk food, lots of fresh fruits and veggies. However, I would never intentionally attempt to lose weight during pregnancy--cutting calories could also mean my little ones were getting fewer nutrients, and I would not risk my babies' health just to lose a few pounds.
Good luck!

It is not recommended to loose weight during pregnancy. What you need to do is eat healthy now during prgnancy. Eat small and frequent meals. Lots of healthy snacks too such as veggies and fruits. I loved homemade trail mix and dried fruits. If you gain healthy weight during pregnancy it will come off so easy after pregnancy. Just don't fill up on junk like burgers, fries, and sodas. If you were overweight before pregnancy you might not gain as much. If you were average you will gain between 25-35. Sounds like a lot but if it is healthy weight it comes off so easy.

IT'S NOT SAFE TO LOSE WEIGHT DURING PREGNANCY BECAUSE YOUR BABY NEEDS TO GIAN WEIGHT AND CAN'T IF YOU ARE LOSING. IT'S ALSO NOT GOOD TO GAIN TOO MUCH. TRUST ME JUST BE CONCIOUS OF YOUR WEIGHT AND DON'T JUST USE THE EXCUSE I'M PREGNANT SO I'M GOING TO EAT EITHER. JUST EAT WHEN HUNGRY OR AT LEAST 3 MEALS A DAY...FOR YOUR BABIE'S SAKE. I ATE EVERTHING IN SIGHT AND MOSTLY JUNK FOOD. I THOUGHT IT WOULD MAGICALLY FALL OFF AFTER BIRTH...YEAH RIGHT. I WISH I WOULD HAVE LISTENED AND BEEN MORE CAUTIOUS. GOOD LUCK!

your weight gain during pregnancy should be no more than 35 lbs. as it is harder to take off.Best bet would be walking now, this is good for you to maintain weight, good for baby and easier when it is time to give birth.good luck
