Ok, I know the bulb is replaceable, I just need to know how to get to it to change it. I don't want to take it to the dealer as that would cost an arm and a leg just to change a bulb. I was just hoping someone would know how to get to the bulb to change it.

Denise:
Open the hood.
Reach behind the bulb and find the harness.
Twist the harness counterclockwise and pull the bulb out. ( you wont get burned if the bulb is already burned out).
Install new bulb into harness.Dont touch glass part of bulb.
Reinsert and twist clockwise.

I have a 740il, assuming the structure is the same, open the hood, you should be able to access the light bulb from the back. It fits in a plastic enclosure, and twists to fit in the head light. Don't touch the old bul as if it has been on it will burn the livig **** out of your hand. Don't touch the new bulb when installing it, the oils on your hands will shorten the life of the bulb.
