Hi. We need to travel from London kings Cross to Waterloo on a Wednesday at about 11am. We want to get to Waterloo as quickly as possible. Which is the best method tube or taxi? We will have a couple of cases each with us.

How long would the tube take?
How long would a taxi take?

How much would a taxi be roughly?

Thanks

Andy

take the victoria line to oxford circus, change to the bakerloo line (other side of the platform) and you get to waterloo. will cost £3 if you pay in cash (£1.50) if you have a oyster card

was originall told this by a tube employee when I had a big bag to carry and was much netter than the other route I had in mind

taxi will definately take longer and cost a lot more

you can also go to the journey planner on the tfl website and that will help you out with more info

Have a look at the tfl website they have a journey planner that is surprisingly quite reliable. A taxi will take between 20 and 40 minutes and cost between 12 and 18 pounds I reckon.

it will take you about 20 minutes to get from KC to waterloo on the tube
(VIctoria Line to oxford circus and then bakerloo line to waterloo)
A taxi will probably take much longer due to london traffic and will cost substantially more.
Tube should be reasonably quiet at that time of day so cases won't matter too much.
