you may need a bootable floppy or an image of a bootable floppy for step 4 depending on your version of nero

Here is the process, this example is when using nero express:

1. start nero express.
2. select data/bootabledatadiss
3.add -select the files to add, then finished
4. select read boot disc in drive or
4. use standard boot image // my version seems to have a built in one.
5. give the disc a name
6. select more, choose disc at once and [x] finalize disc
7 burn.

REFINEMENT.
choose as the current recorder "image recorder"

follow steps 1 to 7 above.

now use the mount facility of nero to mount the iso or nrg image you just saved. other tools like daemontools allow you to mount an iso if you are having trouble with nero's imagedrive tool.

this will allow you to test your bootable CD.

if it is working then you can use the image to burn a cd. -in nero express choose "disc image or saved project" and point to the nrg or iso you just saved. be sure to choose a real physical recorder as the recorder to use for this step or you will just get another soft-image.
