I double majored in fashion design, and fashion merchandising. Being able to draw is such a tiny tiny portion of what it takes to be a fashion designer. Not only must you have a full understanding of the construction process (picking fabrics, draping, pattern making, sewing, etc), but you also must understand the cycle of fashion. Alot of research goes into forecasting, learning about your customer, and being able to work 2 years ahead of the current trends. The only way you'll make it as a designer is if you spend alot of time studying. Goodluck!

being a fashion designer is not only just knowing how to draw, good in drawing is a plus, a good knowledge of fabric, the types, the names, its uses, what can & cannot goes with what, cutting & sewing skills, an eye for details & color etc, etc are necessary in the fashion industry, little bit of training will not get you anywhere, to know what you're getting into, talk to people in the fashion industry
