So, Sylar removes brains... but does he eat them, or what? And isn't he HOT? If I had special powers, I would probably turn out like him though...

Sylar's original ability was that of Intuitive Aptitude which simply meant that he's has an easy time "seeing how things work". Which means that if you're a person with an ability, he's able to look at your noodle, figure out what it is that gives you your ability and then he's able to coax his own DNA into matching said ability. Essentially he's like a parasite, except for the fact that he's awesome. I'm sure girls think that Sylar(Zach Quinto) is hot, but I just like the dude because he's from my home town and graduated high school with my cousin. As far as your last statement, I can tell with absolute certainty that if I had some sort of superpower, I'd make Sylar look like a carebear. If I woke up with a superpower, I'd march directly to my fathers house, punch him in the face and spit on him. I'd then get wasted and head out on my mission to take over the world. There are only about nine people in the world that I really want to kill for vengeance sake, but I'd probably kill a few other people just for the hell of it. I'd also take whatever steps neccessary to eradicate all guys on the Earth who think that its cool to wear a pink shirt. Bastards.

I don't think that's been revealed yet, but I suspect it has something do with how he knows how things work... which is why he was so good at repairing watches and clocks. So it's like he is able to take apart their brains and find what part of their brains has their powers and is somehow able to rewrite / rewire his brain to match that.

I would have to say he is not eating the brain but absorbing the elctro pulses in the brain into his own. Thus collecting powers
