After a recent abnormal smear on holiday in NZ I have to have a colposcopy done now I am back in London. I have a referral letter from my NZ GP etc. Can anyone advise me of a private specialist/gynecologist (and how much that might cost!)?? thanks if you can help!

I had to have this procedure done after an abnormal pap smear and it was done in my OBGYN's office.
Unfortunately I can't help you find a place in London but I do know it's pretty simple and can be done in the doctor's office.

i too had this done recently. i had it done in a nhs hospital and it was a pretty simple procedure. it only takes about 20 mins and is pretty much painless. you should be able to take the letter to your gp and they should be able to arrange the rest. good luck

Try contacting BUPA. I have no idea how much it'll cost but they do say that you'll see an expert.
