oh geez no answers THAT are religiously based please!!...rolls eyes
the pill taken correctly honey should protect you from pregnancy...CORRECTLY means
EVERYDAY
AT THE SAME TIME FRAME EVERYDAY
to those that "high risk" that is not not true....but you have also not elaborated if you are in an exclusive relationship or not.....to be safe from disease and pregnancy my advice would be to use condoms with your exclusive partner and ESPECIALLY if you have multiple partners
and if you are in a trusting loving relationship with one person then you could also use a spermacidal gel or film as extra no-baby making protection if you decide that condoms are not an option
so take those pills every damn day as scheduled and be responsible
and someone above mentioned antibiotics.....i forgot that....that is true....other meds will temporarily reduce effectiveness of BC pills....so be extra careful with that too

Yes it's fine to use as your only form of contraception. However does not protect you from STD's only pregnancy and you must remember to take it every day at the same time. I have been using the pill only for about 7 years, the downside to taking it is that your sex drive is lowered and you may put on weight.

The pill alone is only 99.7-99.9% effective against preventing pregnancy. So yes, there is some risk that u could still become pregnant. Also, in todays society it is very WISE to USE CONDOMS!!!! They not only protect against pregnancy, but diseases as well. They too, are proven to be up to 99.9% effective if used PROPERLY. So, it would be very smart to use both the pill & condoms whenever u have sex!!

Pregnancy is NOT the worst thing that could happen to you.
STD's can KILL YOU.
HPV, Cervical Cancer (caused by HPV) Herpes, Genital Warts, and AIDS...
Those are all things that the PILL can't save you from .
Use the Pill for pregnancy and Use a Rubber for your health.
***Oh and remember, when using the pill as a contraceptive, you need to use it EXACTLY as directed AND drugs can lower it's effectiveness...Prescription drugs like antibiotics and recreational drugs can render you UNPROTECTED...so definately use a second method to prevent pregnancy and the spread of disease.

The pill is not 100% effective so you could still get pregnant if he ejaculates inside of you. The risk isn't high, but it is still there. It would be better to use condoms as well.
Pregnancy isn't the only thing that can come of sex. Please realize it's important to use condoms to reduce the risk of contracting a disease.
