Yes I'm very ashamed to admit to being an american right now. There are to many very young men and women staight out of high school you don't fully understand what this war is about entering the armed forces. They spend 3-6 months in boot camp and 6 months later sent to Iraq to fight a war they aren't mentaly prpared for.

Your question implies that there is some magical number of deaths that should alter ones support for the war. That really doesn't seem logical to me.

I did not agree with the invasion of Iraq. I do however feel that now we should support the government there that was elected democratically. I also do not feel that this commitment we give is totally open ended.

Here is another question. Would the "war" in Iraq end if the U.S. left today? Would terrorist stop attacking innocent people and abducting hostages to obtain their goals today if the U.S left Iraq.

Or would the "war" escalate everywhere?

DEFINITELY!! Their keeping the terrorists off OUR soil and that's all I can ask for. You're angry that people are dying and the war is lasting a long time, but you're the same people who cut off funding that could have been used to end the war much faster & with less casualty. You can't have it both ways.

Yes I am. What people don't seem to understand, people die everywhere. Its just that the news people are focusing on that one spot. Do they say how many people died today in the US? No, because its not on everyones scope. People die everyday, some to murder, some to natural death, some to car crashes, but there are more people dying here than over there.
Also, did the news say how many of non American's have died over there? Its more than the US.

I have never supported war in Iraq. They were peaceful, not involved with the Taliban and Al Quaeda, did NOT have an active nuclear program or WMD's...tell me again why we want to support this stupidity?

Over 54,000 died at Gettysburg. Are you still proud we fought the civil war? Many thousands died in WW2, are you proud we fought that? People die in wars. Get over it.
