y-intercept at x = 0:
-3y -12 = 0
-12 = 3y
y = -4

x-intercept at y=0
2x-12 = 0
2x = 12
x = 6

The line of this equation will intercept the x axis when y = 0. Therefore:

2x-12=0
x = 6 (x intercept)

Equally, the y intercept is when x = 0:

-3y-12=0
y = 12/(-3) = -4 (y intercept)

I dont understand the x and y intercept yet this appears like a simultaneous equation to me. the second one equation is two cases the first one. So, 2(2x+3y) = 2(6) = 4x+6y = 12 So 12 = 12

in order to find X-intercept: subsitute y=0 into the equation.
therefore,when y=0,
2x-3(0)-12=0
2x=12
x=6

in order to find Y-intercept: subsitute x=0 into the equation.
thus when x=0
2(0) -3y-12=0
-3y=12
y=12/-3
y=-4

When x = 0, 3y = - 12
y = - 4
Cuts y axis at (0,-4), the y - intercept
When y = 0,2x = 12
x = 6
Cuts x axis at (6,0), the x - intercept

2x-12=3y thus y intercept is -4
2x=3y+12 thus x intercept is 6

hello i think the answer is:
The y-intercept is (0,-4) and the x-intercept is (6,0)
I worked it out pretty quickly so im not really sure!! Hope you find the answer soon!!
Have a great day!!

2x - 3y - 12 = 0

2x - 3y - 12 + 12 = 0 + 12

2x - 3y + 3y = 3y + 12

2x = 3y + 12

2x / 2 = 3y / 2 + 12 / 2

x = 2/3y + 6

x intercept is 6

2X - 3Y - 12 = 0

2x - 3y - 12 + 12 = 0 + 12

2x - 3y = 12

2x - 3y - 2x = - 2x + 12

- 3y = - 2x + 12

- 3y / - 3 = - 2x / - 3 + 12 / - 3

y = - 2x / - 3 + 12 / - 3

y = 2/3x + (- 4)

y = 2/3x - 4

y itercept is - 4
