Take "yesterday's" pill as soon as you remember it. Then take "today's" pill at the normal time.
If you're less than 12 hours late taking the pill, don't worry about it. If you're more than 12 hours taking the pill, you may need to use alternative protection for the next week -- check the instructions for your particular pill or call your doctor's office. In the absence of instructions and/or if you can't get through to your doctor, I recommend you use a barrier method for the next week, to be safe.

WOW. Maybe it depends on the brand of pills, but if you read the instructions that came with them, mine ALWAYS said that if you miss one you double up and take two the next day. If you only missed ONE pill and you take it this morning and the next one at your normal time, you're actually 100% okay. Don't do it frequently at al, but you'll strill totally covered and teh BC Is still effective. It even SAID THAT in the instructions, and my doctor said that as well. Maybe different brands are different, but I know that orthotricyclen was like that.
I forgot on occasion and took two in a day and NEVER had a problem. Bottom line-- call your doc real quick or read the instructions. Apparently it varies since the people on here have acted like its really odd to take two in a day.

First of all, you NEVER double up on a dose. I too had forgot to take a pill and I just took my next days pill at the time I was supposed to. Your doctor and the book that comes with the pills should tell you that.
Now, had you forgot at 9pm, and remembered at say, 1am, then yes, you go ahead and take it, but if you remember the next day at say, 9am, no you don't take it, because then you'll be taking 2 pills on the same day.
I had the same concerns as you the very first time I started the pills, but i consulted the book and other sources and they all said that you never double up. You just go ahead and take the next days pill and all is well.

take two at your regular time. You shoudl be safe, but if you want to be extra careful use condoms for a few days. The instructions that come with the pills suggest taking two the next day (the missed pill and the regularly scheduled pill)

Take the one as soon as you can and then wait until your regular time to take the other. You should be fine but it wouldn't hurt to use another form of birth control just to be on the safe side.

I don't think taking two today will make any difference. Just have one at your normal time. If you're worried, then have one now (since you missed one yesterday), and then wait about 20 hours until your next pill and keep going 'til you catch up again back to your normal time.
