I gotta agree with Nycguy.... I got loads of friends but even i have to walk a head or way behind a couple of them. I love them to bits but well, when they are 1 step a way from being a trannie and go about saying they are gay and proud it really make my skin crawl.
there are straight gays and camp gays. give me a real straight gay any time.

Yes camp gays give us a poor reputation and yes they are annoying in a way but very funny in others . They have a right to be themselves just as the rest of us have the right to be annoyed by them

I don't really judge other people. To be honest with you, just because I am 'gay' I don't feel the need to have this automatic bond or affinity with all other 'gay' men. Therefore I don't really pay any attention to 'camp' men that I don't have anything in common with nor do I really have any time for people who are ignorant enough to lump all 'gay' men together and think that they are all stereotypes!

I think everyone is entitled to act as they feel, when they feel. Certainly, it can get a little annoying, but I just ask myself 'Who am I to define what is 'camp' and what isn't.' Is a grown man calling me darling whilst wearing a feather boa camp, or is a grown man wearing a purple shirt camp? Is a grown woman slathering on too much make-up camp? Again, it's not my call.
As for giving us a bad name, I think they tend to discredit themselves more than anything else. It certainly hasn't affected people's views of me.

I find them to be annoying most gay men actually make fun of them. I had a job where a guy like this was ignored totally, everyone was like OMG this guy is so gay. No one would hang with him because they thought he was giving us a bad rep. In my opinion if you are gay it is not wrong to show it, just don't force it on anyone, that is what these people do.

Sometimes they get on my nerves... or to be truthful, yes, they get on my nerves alot. But only if its an act. I hate acts. Naturally feminine guys I have no problem with. But the screaming queens that prance around for attention drive me insane. Not trying to be offensive as I used to be oe myself. But caught a glimpse of myself in the mirror one day and vowed to change.

Tons of people, gay and straight, cry for attention all the time. Humans are annoying in general. Girls who constantly bounce around in your face with the lowest cut, tightest fitting baby doll Ts are just as annoying as guys who constantly yell about football and act hypermasculine. Us campy gay guys who spew their glittery rainbows over everything are hardly any more abnormal or annoying than the rest of you.
